Dr. Leffert to speak on the “Elimination of Bias” at SBWL Event

AUSB President Nancy Leffert, PhD, will speak at Santa Barbara Women Lawyers (SBWL) “Elimination of Bias” MCLE Lunch on Tuesday, March 4, from 12-1:30 pm.

Dr. Leffert will be joined by two other community leaders – Lori Gaskin, PhD, President of the Santa Barbara City College, and Heather Georgakis, MLIS, Dean of the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law. They will speak about their experiences overcoming career obstacles and succeeding despite societal biases against women.

SBWL, a non-profit that supports the diverse interests of women lawyers in SantaBarbara, hosts this MCLE program for SBWL members as well as non-members, government employees, nonprofit workers, and students. MCLE refers to the approved continuing Minimum Continuing Legal Education activities required of California attorneys; attorneys must complete a total of 25 hours of approved credit every three years.
