Discussion on Climate Justice at AUNE March 3

Gabriella Cebada Mora will lead a presentation and discussion on “Climate Justice: Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD),” from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Thursday, March 3, in Room E101 at Antioch University New England (AUNE).

Mora is a master’s degree candidate in Resource Management and Conservation. She will talk about the United Nations’ REDD program, initiated to lower greenhouse gas emissions through forest preservation. But is the initiative helping or hurting?

The discussion is free and open to the public. It is part of a series called Carbon Counts: You Can Too, sponsored by the Sustainability and Social Justice Committee at AUNE.
