Delegate to International Climate Change Speaks April 27

Get an insider view of the global climate change talks in the United Nations Friday, April 27, in AUNE’s Community Room. Doug Dagan, the 2012 official party delegate from the Maldives at the Conference of the Parties 17 (COP) in Durban, South Africa, will speak on “Why the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Can’t Solve the Problem.”

The talk is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is open to the public.

Dagan questions the value of multilateral environmental agreements in contributing to international climate change efforts. He is earning his J.D. degree at Vermont Law School and his master’s in environmental management, with a focus on climate science, at Yale University.
