Stonewall Farm will hold its third annual Farm Games, Sunday, Sept. 22, at Stonewall Farm in Keene.
The Farm Games is a public event in which participants, as individuals or teams of six, compete in Highland-style contests with a farm theme, said Matt Young, MS ’13, communications manager for Stonewall Farm. Those include manure toss, sheaf toss, apple atlatl, human rooster fighting, hay bale lift and stack, baleage roll, and an obstacle course.
The individual contests will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; team contests are from 1 to 3 p.m.
Anyone is invited to sign up. The overall team winner will receive the coveted Cow Trophy, to hold and display until the 2014 Farm Games, when they can defend their title. There are also prizes and trophies for individual events and second- and third-place teams.
Spectators are also welcome to come to enjoy a hayride, Stonewall Farm ice cream, and barbecue, and to cheer on their favorite competitors.
Registration for a team is $25 and for an individual, $5. If you register by September 13, it’s $20 per team and $4 per individual. To register, call 603-357-7278 or email [email protected].
