AUNE’s Net Impact Chapter Supports Local CONNECT Event

Antioch University New England’s Net Impact Chapter is a proud community partner for the fifth annual Hannah Grimes Center CONNECT event Investing In Our Local Living Economy. The evening of networking and inspiration takes place on October 27 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole, New Hampshire.

Keynote speaker is Ari Derfel, entrepreneur and executive director of Slow Money. He will discuss ways that communities can provide the support that local enterprises need. Additionally, Patti Powers of Cheshire Garden will be honored as the Hannah Grimes 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Registration for the event is $30 per person, which includes appetizers of locally produced food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Ari Derfel is an entrepreneur, restaurateur, organic chef, activist, mountain guide and public speaker. Ari co-owns Gather, an all-organic, sustainably designed restaurant in Berkeley, California. Ari also founded Back to Earth Organic Catering in 2001, the first organic catering company in the US.
