AUNE’s First Career Day Claims Success

AUNE alumni and current students found useful information and a chance to network at Career Day 2012, held June 2 at AUNE. They sat in on sessions that addressed building a career, interviewing, creating a personal engine, and using social media for your job search, and resumes and cover letters.

Jason Alexander, managing partner of BANK W Holdings, LLC, and its portfolio companies Alexander Technology Group, KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting, and The Nagler Group, gave the keynote address. Also speaking were Jackie Valley of Liberty Mutual, Joelle Phippard of Masiello Employment, and Tracey Thompson, vice president of institutional advancement at AUNE. Alums Michelle Bourassa, MS ’08, of What’s Next professional coaching, and Audrey Cass, MS ’00, graduates from the Department of Management, and Angie Sottle, MS ’95, an environmental studies graduate, also led sessions.

The program, organized by Melinda Garland, alumni relations association at AUNE, was sponsored by Liberty Mutual.
