AUNE Search for VPAA Advances

The search for the next Vice President for Academic Affairs is well underway. AUNE has engaged the services of R. H. Perry and Associates, an experienced higher education search firm, which has assisted in advertising, preparing the Executive Search Profile, and recruiting qualified candidates. AUNE’s consultant is Dr. Allen Koenig.

The application deadline is Friday, February 25. The VPAA Search Committee is now preparing to review candidates, interview semi-finalists and identify the finalists who will come to campus.

– March 1-10: Review applications
– March 10: Meet with consultant and select semifinalists
– April 7-8: Committee interviews semifinalists on Skype and selects finalists
– April 18-22: Finalists on campus for campus interviews

Each candidate will have a full day of appointments, including a session open to the campus as well as meetings with the president, the president’s cabinet, academic department chairs and direct reports. The committee’s goal is to have our VPAA on board over the summer.

Questions about the search process may be directed to Tim Jordan, chair of the VPAA Search Committee. In addition to Tim, members of the search committee include: Jean Amaral, Arthur Auer, Sarah Bockus, Jan Fiderio, Jennifer Fritz, Bill Griffith, Walter Lowe, Dottie Shuteran, Rachel Thiet, George Tremblay, and Don Woodhouse. Julie Dickson is providing administrative support to the search committee.
