Group Looking For Minibeasts At Activity Centre

An AmeriCorps experience sets you apart. You chose a service-driven path through which you gained new skills and valuable knowledge. At Antioch University, we greatly value the practical skills, and commitment to social justice and the common good you demonstrated through AmeriCorps service. This aligns with Antioch’s mission of empowering students with the knowledge and skills to lead meaningful lives and advance social, economic, and environmental justice.

Service through VISTA, City Year, state or national offices, or any other AmeriCorps program is a profound experience that can shape your vision of yourself and your professional future. At Antioch University, we know you want to continue to contribute and apply your skills and experience at the next level.

Under the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Matching Program, AmeriCorps members are eligible to receive up to $5,920 toward their education from AmeriCorps. AULA will match the amount of the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to any student admitted into the MA in Urban Sustainability, MA in Nonprofit Management, MA in Education with Teacher Credentials, MA in Education, Leadership and ChangeTeacher Credentialing programs. AmeriCorps alumni are also eligible for an application fee waiver.

Students with AmeriCorps experience bring a sense of purpose, personal drive, and collaborative spirit that fit nicely into the experiential, theory-informed, team-based learning that characterizes an Antioch education. We prepare you to think critically, stand out, and lead change. Community service is woven into the very fabric of our University, providing you with meaningful field experience.
