ANE’s First Annual Autism and Asperger’s Exposition

Antioch New England’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder Training sponsored an Autism and Asperger’s Exposition on Saturday, April 5th. More than 200 individuals attended, including students, alumni, professionals, individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and their families.

Participants came from southern New Hampshire and Vermont to obtain information from the twenty-eight exhibiting vendors and to view related films. ANE president David Caruso introduced the films Including Samuel and the Autism and Law Enforcement Roll Call video. The films were well received by the audience, with many individuals moved to tears by the touching scenes in Including Samuel.

Exhibitors included the Asperger’s Association of New England, NH Connections, The Asperger’s Study Group of Keene State College, The Autism Society of New Hampshire, Monadnock Developmental Services, Camp Kaleidoscope, Vocational Rehabilitation, Silver Lining Media, Access, Forward Motion Coaching, and many more. The expo was such a success it will become an annual event.

After the Autism and Asperger’s Expo a group of alumni and faculty gathered at Margarita’s Restaurant for an alumni event of food and fun. The group enjoyed catching up with each other and learning about alumnus’ new professional ventures in the field.
