ANE Supports Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention

The Antioch New England community came together in the form of cash donations to raise $501 for the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention. The Center, whose executive director is Robin Christopherson, a 2005 O&M grad, organizes a special Holiday Family program in order to raise funds for individual families during the holiday season.

Cathy Schlichting, administrative assistant in the Office of Student Accounts, spearheaded the effort, working closely with the Center’s John Everest, also an O&M alumnus (2007), to coordinate the effort.

In a letter thanking ANE for the participation, Robin also thanked Cathy and “other staff and faculty from Antioch” who were “instrumental this past fall during the United Way’s Day of Caring, making our emergency shelter welcoming by spending a day painting and cleaning.”

Cathy hopes to make the support an annual tradition at ANE. Robin ended the letter, “We thank you for fostering an organizational climate at ANE where these kinds of community partnerships can and do flourish.”
