Alumni Collaborate with the Urban League to Publish!

PhD in Leadership and Change Program alumni, Drs. Harry Alson Jr. and Carole Isom-Barnes, collaborated with the Urban League of Central Carolinas in the publication of the book, Faces of Reality: The State of the Ethnic Charlotte.

Dr. Harry Alston Jr’s essay, “Searching for the Rising Tide: Achieving Economic Justice in the Queen City”, examined the necessity for community economic development strategies and engaged citizenry as a means to address disparities and pursue community empowerment.

Dr. Isom’s contribution, entitled, “Unemployment Disparities: Employee Insight and Personal Perspectives”,   addresses the social, economic and personal impact of corporate layoffs.

Counseling and Collaboration in Western Massachusetts

Susan M. Quigley, PsyD and Elaine F. Campbell, PsyD, both graduated from Antioch New England’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program in 1999. They supported each other through their studies and collaborated on their doctoral dissertations. Over the years they’ve maintained a professional exchange and friendship that is a testament to its beginnings at Antioch.
