1996 Experienced Educator Grad Wins Edies Award

Gerri Harvey, a 1996 Experienced Educators MEd grad, has just been named New Hampshire School Nurse of the Year. Gerri has been a school nurse for over twenty years and currently works at Belmont Middle School. She will be honored in June at the New Hampshire Excellence in Education (Edies) Awards celebration hosted by Governor John Lynch, the New Hampshire Department of Education and the New Hampshire Education Association.

In an April 10 Laconia Citizen news story, Gerri was quoted as saying “I cannot imagine having a more fulfilling job… I know that as a school nurse, I am supporting the mission of education at the same time that I am promoting healthy children. What a great way to touch the future!”
