10/10/10 Global Work Party Hosted by AUNE

On Sunday students from Antioch University New England participated in the 10/10/10 Global Work Party hosted by 350.org. AUNE activities included a garden work party in the morning and bicycle safety, commuter skills and repair workshops in the afternoon. Antioch New England also showed In Transition, a film about responses to climate change and peak oil by communities around the world.

The evening concluded with a community-wide, potluck celebration at the Keene Unitarian Universalist Church held by Transition Keene Task Force and other local organizing groups. The potluck featured a video that highlighted the day’s work, information on local efforts to reduce carbon emission and fossil fuel dependence, and comments by local leaders.
